Heidi Kretser
I work to engage communities meaningfully in conservation, develop strategies for collaboration, and put science to action at a local level. To achieve this, I conduct research and establish projects that use a social science lens to integrate human attitudes and perspectives into conservation solutions and by creating innovative and diverse ways to communicate conservation. Currently I am a Conservation Social Scientist in the Rights + Communities Team for the Wildlife Conservation Society's Global Program and I serve as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Cornell University in the Department of Natural Resources & Environmental and the Center for Conservation Social Sciences.
